Facts about Water

The difference between Tap water and Natural Mineral Water.

Glenpatrick water coolers are proud to be first supplier of both mainsfed and bottletop water coolers. Our 19 litre bottles for our water coolers are all Natural mineral water. Natural mineral water is the highest graded available to drinking water that can be obtained. To be recognised as a Natural Mineral Water, the water and source must be assessed. In Ireland, the responsible authority for assessing and declaring an Irish water to be a natural mineral water is the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI).

Glenpatrick water cooler sources are drawn from limestone rocks found beneath the southern slopes of the beautiful and conserved natural heritage area of the Slievenamon Mountain in Co Tipperary. It is the combination of limestone rock, the overlying protecting layers and the mountainous and remote nature of the recharge area in the Slievenamon Mountain that gives Glenpatrick Natural Mineral Water its unique composition and ensures its continuing natural purity. All our water wells are naturally free of harmful bacteria and most importantly, must be naturally protected from contamination by surface activities such as farming.

Natural Minerals:

Glenpatrick’s Natural Mineral Water contains many minerals like Magnesium, Flouride, Iron and Calcium to name just a few. These minerals provide many health benefits. Due to its high concentration of Calcium, Mineral Water helps prevent the bone disease osteoporosis, which can make bones more fragile. Calcium also helps strengthen bones. Iron in water transports oxygen to all cells of the body. Magnesium is known to reduce muscle tension, lessen pain associated with migraine headaches, improve sleep, and address neurological disorders such as anxiety and depression. Fluoride strengthens the teeth and prevents tooth decay.

Better than Tap water:

Tap water from your kitchen faucet may meet local health standards but many studies suggest tap water has too many unnatural chemicals in it. Mineral water that is 100% natural does not include these industrial chemicals that some researchers have linked to dangerous diseases.

Other Health Benefits:

Mineral water also has zero calories, making it an ideal diet drink. Replacing artificially sweetened drinks with mineral water may help prevent tooth decay and obesity.
The benefits of natural water are very obvious. However with the new advancements in filtration in our mains fed water coolers the gap is being closed.
